Golden Girl

I like gold. I like it plenty. I don't own a lot, but since when did that ever stop me from coveting something? Now, for those who don't follow metal prices - both silver and gold have been through the roof for the better part of two years.

Doesn't make gold very obtainable for a girl like me.

So I did the next best thing...

I painted my nails gold ( sounds a bit like "Painting your roses red" from Alice in Wonderland)

Now I know it doesn't make much sense as a metalsmith to paint ones nails, but I saw this in the store and just couldn't help myself, and it's been on for 2 days now through filing, drilling, sanding and buffing, and there aren't any chips ( yet)

Just call me Golden Girl...

One hell of a shop update

June has started with a bang for me people! After giving myself to custom commissions for most of May, I really needed some time at my bench with silver and stones to just play. I grabbed a handful of amazing stones that I had put off working with because they were 'just too beautiful" and just let creativity take over.

I love these creative bubbles where time disappears behind me, music hums softly in the background, and my fingers are stained a ruff shade of charcoal.

Days where I drive to the grocery store with safety glasses still on my head {oops} and silver dust coating my pants {sparkly!}
