Can you believe it? I can't!
When I started this blog I truly thought no one out there in the world would want to listen to what I have to say. Come to think of it, I often still think that.
{is anyone out there?}
I wanted a venue for my work, and my words, and my heart and soul.
I wanted a place where I could write honestly,
and not just fluffy stuff I thought you wanted to see.
Often, this has been a place of acknowledgement for me - a place where I post how I am feeling about something, of dealing with something, or more likely NOT dealing with something.
When I read back over these posts it has helped me take an honest look at where I was at when I let my fingers do the talking.
It makes me acknowledge ME.
And I am here to stay.
Over the course of the last few years I have met some AMAZING people through this blog.
And of course, with the good, always comes the less good ( or sometimes downright bad)
I have put feelings out there that have made me feel vulnerable.
I have had that vulnerability tested.
I have put out wonderful happy moments and accomplishments,
and wondered if I was bragging?
Good or bad, connecting to the "world" through my blog has made me really think about the person I am, and the person I aspire to be.
And that is never a bad thing.
When I sat down to write this post ( after thinking for a couple days about the content) I just wanted to say "Thank you, thank you, thank you" over and over. Because somewhere, out there someone is reading this.
They took the time from their busy life to spend 5 minutes with me.
They took 60 seconds to comment on a new piece of jewellery I made,
or to reassure me I would be ok when I typed of hard times.
They reached out and touched me through the screen when I talked about loss,
and told me I could do it, when I opened up about my weight struggles.
YOU are wonderful.
Really, honestly,
yes, YOU!
It is because of YOU I kept writing.
Sometimes it was just pictures of new stuff,
sometimes silly ( or not so silly) poetry.
Sometimes I complained and you listened.
Sometimes I fell off the map for days,
and you were still there reading when I came back!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
When I started this blog I introduced myself to the world, I'd like to use this post to reintroduce myself as the person I have grown into in the last few years.
I'm Jaime ( yes I've been told many many times that is a boys name, and yes, that IS how I spell it)
I am a formerly VERY shy girl, turned regular shy girl
I make stuff. I like to think I am best at jewellery, but that never stops me from trying my hand at other things.
I am sensitive, and I wear it on my sleeve.
I am Canadian and darn proud of it ( maybe that is why I am so overly polite??)
I have the most wonderful man in my life, who just so happens to be my best friend.
I have an amazing family full of unique individuals. I am so thankful my parents always tried to cultivate what made me individual, and encouraged me to embrace who I am.
I'm a cryer. Movies, memories, Oprah... whatever, so I cry easily....
I am me.
And how lucky I have been to have the venue through my art to be exactly that!

{my messy bench is a constant source of inspiration - the treasures I've found that were temporarily forgotten about on that bench...}
Thank you readers new and old,
I love you all, truly 500 times over!
Ok, sappiness over - regularly scheduled posting will resume soon, I promise ;-)
As promised - all my new catalog and website items!
I planned on blogging about this a few days ago, but it was my honey's birthday yesterday, so the weekend was devoted to him :-)
It is pouring rain here today and the wind is whipping something fierce, and I have been tucked away at the bench finishing up some custom orders when I remembered I hadn't posted the second half of this shop update - oops!

What are you up to this monday? I hope your all your weekends were wonderful!
Seems like all I have talked about on this blog lately is new work, but honestly I have been very busy! As I have mentioned often, I live a pretty boring life by a lot of peoples standards, but I figure it is because I channel all my sporadic, creative outbursts into my jewellery ;-)
So, speaking of jewellery, I have plenty of new bits and pieces to show you all. I will post all the new additions to the catalog line and website in a separate post, and I'll keep this post to the one of a kind stuff.
Peeking Through the Clouds Necklace
Sterling Silver and Labradorite
Thunderbolts and Lightening Ring
Sterling Silver and Labradorite
Woodgrain Ring
Sterling Silver and Hickoryite
I have been loving labradorite lately ( when don't I?) and have another necklace on the way, as well as some juicy green prehnite. So look for those soon :-)
Also, don't forget my Last Chance Section where everything has been discounted by 20%- these pieces need to find their homes soon or they will be pulled from my shop.
I'll be adding these to the shop at 10am PST Thursday Sept 22nd. Please feel free to message me on etsy or by email if you have any questions or would like to reserve one of these to be your own :-)
I've been loving me some brass these days.
I love the warm yellow tone to warm up rainy days, and the way it develops gracefully to a deeper darker patina over time.
A few new brass editions to my catalog shop and website.
Dimple Bangle
{available in singles, 3's and 5's}
Crown of Thorns Necklace
Shattered Earrings
14k Gold fill hooks and brass
In other news, I reached a milestone today in my One of a Kind shop - I surpassed 600 sales. For some this may not seem very big, but for me it is huge. I know each and every piece out there was loved enough for me to create it and then found its home in the world.
How wonderful, no?
I can't thank you all enough for the support you give me following my dream.
You read my words,
you support my goals,
you make homes for my art,
and you become my friend.
YOU are what is wonderful.
xo
So, the shop update was pushed back a little later than I would have liked this week, but you know how life just gets in the way sometimes! I can hardly believe we are almost two weeks into September - my honey's birthday is at the end of this month which means I need to get shopping! {fun gift ideas for a most wonderful man is always appreciated!}
I'll be listing these at 10 AM PST tomorrow (Wednesday Sept 14th) in Le Shop.
If you know one of these pieces belongs to you and want to secure that, you can do so by sending me a message either on etsy, or by email.

WOW, when did September get here?
I officially have a preview of the first goodies of September for you all to see. Expect plenty more, including some pretties using one of my very favorite stones, which just happens to be the birth stone for September, the Sapphire.
Starting at the Top going clockwise:
One heck of a gorgeous turquoise stone ring, Faceted Yellow Opal set in sterling with touches of 14k gold (to be a necklace), pale green Serpentine set in sterling (to be a necklace), stunning Mookaite in shades of rose, cream and burgundy set in sterling (to be a necklace).
Seriously, is that mookaite not utterly delicious?
I am aiming for these pretties to be ready for Monday, along with at least one other piece ( I hope!)
Some of my very favorite pieces need homes, friends.
I have filled up my Last Chance section full of pretty gems in hopes to relocate them :-)
They have all already been discounted by 20%, and will stay in shop for a little while before being pulled to make room for new inventory!
Just a sampling of some of the pieces available are :
Looking for a home near you :-)
Three pairs of Amber Leaves earrings can be found here. That is all :-)
They sway in the wind and are sassy enough to make any personality.
Not to mention totally perfect for Autumn, no?
