Indeed! I had to place orders with three different vendors last night and it was NOT FUN!
I just cried about this today myself...What to do??? What can we do??? Not much I suppose.
I find myself dreaming up new pieces created in cheaper metals, brass, copper, bronze...but I don't think I can ever get over my obsession with silver, the way it feels, the way it cuts, the way the solder flows properly, the way it takes a lovely patina.....

Painful sigh here as well. :( I'm scrounging up scrap silver to sell back so I can re-purchase half the weight back!
