OUCH

Today, this is me folks :

I have all 4 of my wisdom teeth, they are all completely grown in except one, and that is the one that hurts like hell right now, in fact my whole jaw hurts. It is partially grown in, and I suspect it has decided to finish the job. Ouchie! 

Now you are all telling me to get to the dentist... don't bother though. I've been through this with the other 3, they are all grown in straight, and there was plenty of room for them. I just feel like and adult who is teething.  Of course there are drugs that can be taken, but not on an empty tummy, but guess who can't eat anything because of the pain ?? ME.

So in case any of you have been wondering, that is what is up with me. I am still working on new designs, but a little slower than usual.

Now I am off to try and eat something soft, and get some drugs into my system!

14 Hour Day

Phew - today was a hectic day! 

I spent the first half buzzing around the house cleaning. Many loads of laundry were calling my name, plus a bathroom & kitchen to clean, and a swift vacuuming needed - I worked myself into a sweat! I didn't even get a chance to clean my bench like I told myself I had to. Why you ask, since I was cleaning already ? Well because I spent the second half of my day finishing these beauties :

Autumn - Sparkling Leaves & Harvest Hues

The sun came out today and shone on all the pretty yellow,orange and red leaves everywhere. It is this time of year that I love vancouver so very much. In a city full of evergreens, it always looks fresh, but with the smattering of harvest colours it is breathtaking. In the next few weeks we have before everything turns icy and dark, I am going to do my best to capture some of the beauty of my stomping grounds.

It's true, I haven't. To be honest, I just have lacked the energy. I search for things to write about myself, but you see, I just am not very interesting!

I live a very ordinary life. Between my day job and jewellery I am working approx 60+ hour weeks. I really don't have much of a life to talk about - so often I blog about new pieces, because that us the real excitement in my life!

I do have a handful of kick ass pieces I will try and post about tonight ( yes *I* think they are kick ass! )

The journey to Beautiful

It's amazing how sometimes the prettiest things on this planet of ours come from the least likely places; Diamonds from coal, Silk from a worm, and lilypads and lotuses, not from soil and earth, but water. 

The stone in my newest necklace truly inspired me. I looked at it and just began to draw - there really wasnt much thought about it ( I love when my hands do the talking!) From it all came this :

Making Room...
